How GameForge Academy Pty Ltd Started
We didn’t start as a school. We started as developers frustrated with the gap between what courses taught and what the industry actually needed.
Three game developers in Perth realized nobody was teaching mobile game development properly. They’d see graduates who couldn’t optimize for older phones or navigate app store requirements. So they decided to fix it themselves.
We developed our curriculum based on real industry challenges. Cross-platform optimization. App store submission. Performance debugging. Things that actually matter when you’re shipping games to millions of devices.
We’d trained over 200 students. Some went into indie studios. Others joined major publishers. They were building real games, shipping on real app stores. That’s when we knew we’d gotten something right.
Today we’re running multiple cohorts. We’ve expanded to cover more platforms, more tools, and more specializations. But we haven’t lost what made us different—we’re still focused on practical, shippable skills.
